Studio Workshop Registration Policies
General Information
- Teen Workshops are application based. For application instructions scroll below under Teen Summer Workshops.
- All other Winter, Spring & Summer 2025 workshops are available for online registration on a first come, first served basis.
How to Register and Pay for a Studio Workshop
- We recommend using a laptop or desktop to register for our courses for the first time. It will expedite the process because our registration software: Active Networks, has some quirks to their interface in order to enter some information that Active Network requires. We apologize for this inconvenience.
- Visit the corresponding individual course description page.
- If a workshop is currently open for registration, there will be a button on the page labeled Register Now. If the workshop has been filled, the Register Now button will display “Register for Waitlist”.
- Click the Register Now button to proceed with the registration process.
- You will be taken to a page, where you can add the workshop to a cart and start the registration on Active Networks, our registration portal.
- You will be prompted to create an Active Networks student account, if you don’t already have one with us. Then, you can complete the registration at the checkout page.
- Payments can be made by credit/debit card in the Active Networks registration portal.
- If a payment plan is still available, an option at checkout will be given.
- Payment plans for the Winter workshops close on November 15, 2024.
- Payment plans for the Spring workshops close on February 15, 2025.
- Payment plans for the Summer workshops close on June 15, 2025.
- Anyone registering for a workshop after this date, must pay full tuition at the time of registration.
- Workshops must be paid in full a month before a workshop begins or a late fee of $50/per week may be assessed.
- Failure to pay deposits or balances on time can result in forfeiture of spot and any refunds/credits will be made according to our cancellation policy.
- Upon receipt of payment and registration, a confirmation email/receipt will be emailed to the student.
- Tuition is listed in USD on our website. To convert the amount to your own currency, we recommend using a currency converter.
Studio Workshop Transfer Policy
- If a student wishes to transfer their registration more than four weeks before the start of the original workshop, no fee will be charged for a one-time transfer within the same program & season (Winter & Spring Studio Workshops 2025). Any additional transfer requests will be charged a $25 fee. Transfers requested between 7 days and four weeks prior to the start of the workshop will be charged a $25 transfer fee.
- If a student requests a transfer less than seven days before the original registered workshop starts, it requires approval from the Administration and a minimum $50 transfer fee will be charged. If a student then requests to cancel registration for the transferred course, we must adhere to the cancellation time limit for the original registered course.
- There are no transfers across different programming seasons, for example Winter/Spring 2025 Studio workshops to Winter/Spring 2025 Online classes.
- There are no transfers after a workshop has begun.
Studio Workshop Cancellation Policy
- Students must fill out the studio workshop cancellation request form by clicking here.
- If GCA cancels a studio workshop, student will receive 100% refund.
- If a student cancels more than four weeks before the start: refund to the credit card paid minus $50 cancellation fee per week per workshop.
- If a student cancels four weeks or fewer, but more than seven days before start: refund to the credit card paid minus $100 cancellation fee per week per workshop.
- If a student cancels seven days or fewer before start date: there is no refund or credit
- Please note GCA is not responsible for any fees associated with a student having to cancel or change travel plans, including hotel and flight if GCA or the student cancels a class, workshop or changes its schedule.
- No refunds are given after a workshop has started.
Overdue accounts
Any accounts more than 90 days late, GCA reserves the right to demand the unpaid balance and fees due and refer the account to a collection agency as well as forfeit the right to take additional classes and/or workshops at GCA until the balance and fees are paid in full with accompany late fees.
GCA instructor/model/weather cancellations
- GCA reserves the right to substitute instructors or models either before or during the session for a studio workshop.
- In case of individual classes canceled during a session, GCA will schedule a make-up and send out email notification.
- Every effort will be made to book the same instructor and model but sometimes a substitute may have to be arranged.
- We will only offer credits or refunds if no makeup is scheduled for a canceled session or class date.
- Unfortunately, we occasionally have to cancel a class or workshop due to low enrollment. Students in these classes will be emailed in advance of any cancellations and given a full refund.
