Bruce Cole Initiative Project Director
Grand Central Atelier (GCA) invites applications for a Project Director to lead the Bruce Cole Humanities Initiative, a two-year program dedicated to enriching the study of art, history, and culture within both the Atelier and educating the public about the history of art and traditional artistic techniques.
The Project Director will be responsible for the overall coordination and execution of the Initiative and work closely with the GCA’s current Executive Director and faculty.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning and execution of a twelve-part public lecture series in New York City
- Coordinate a two-day symposium (currently planned for May of 2027)
- Support and supervise two Postdoctoral Instructors
- Manage digital documentation, publication, and the online archive
- Oversee logistics including scheduling, venues, and communications
- Supervise marketing, and program evaluation
- Oversee financial tracking and prepare required reports to the National Endowment for the Humanities on project activities and expenditures
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have formal training in the humanities, along with experience managing complex projects, including responsibility for budgets, scheduling, and publication.
Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a full benefits package.
