Online Class Registration Policies
How to Register for an Online Class
- Visit the individual course description page.
- If a class is currently open for registration, there will be a button on the page labeled Register Now.
- Click the Register Now button to proceed with the registration process through our registration portal: Active Networks.
- Unless otherwise specified, students may register for a class up until the start time, as long as there is still space in the class and the link is available online.
- If the class is not available, please sign up for our newsletter and/or follow us on Instagram to receive updates on new offerings.
How to Pay for an Online Class
- Payments are by credit/debit card in our registration portal.
- Payment plans are available for classes over $300. A 50% deposit is due upon registration. The remaining balance is automatically charged to the card on file approximately 10 days before the class starts.
- If a payment plan is available, the option will be given at checkout.
- Upon receipt of payment and registration, a confirmation receipt will be emailed.
- A late fee of $50/per week may be charged to the student if payments are not made by the installment deadline.
- Failure to pay tuition on time can result in suspension from GCA programs until the full balance is paid.
- Tuition is listed in USD on our website. To convert the amount to your own currency, we recommend using a currency converter.
Online Class Wait List Policy
- If an online class is full, there will be an option to be added to a waitlist.
- If spots in the class become available, the waitlist will be emailed, first come first served.
- An empty spot only occurs if someone cancels, so it’s hard to predict if and when a spot may come available.
Overdue Accounts
- On any account more than 90 days late, GCA reserves the right to demand the unpaid balance and fees due and refer the account to a collection agency.
- Students forfeit the right to take additional classes and/or workshops at GCA until the balance and fees are paid in full with accompanying late fees.
GCA Instructor/Technical or Weather Cancellations
- In case of individual classes canceled during a session, GCA will send out email notification and schedule a make-up.
- We will only offer credits or refunds if we are not able to schedule a makeup.
- Unfortunately, we occasionally have to cancel a class due to low enrollment. Students in these classes will be emailed in advance of any cancellations and provided a full refund or the option to transfer into another open class.
- GCA reserves the right to substitute instructors either before or during the session for an online class.
Online Class Cancellation Policy
- To cancel or transfer to a different class, students must fill out the online class cancellation request form available by clicking here.
- If GCA cancels an online class, student will receive 100% refund.
- If a student cancels more than seven days before the start: refund to the credit card paid minus $50 cancellation fee per class cancellation request.
- If a student cancels seven days or fewer before the start date: there is no refund or credit.
- There are no refunds or credits given after a class has started.
- No refunds or credits are given for student absences during the course of the class or any scheduled make-ups.
- There are no make-ups for student absences from class dates.
- Any other refunds or credits are at the discretion of the Administration.
Online Class Transfer Policy
- If a student wishes to transfer to a different online class at least seven days before the start of the original class, no fee will be charged for a one-time transfer. Any additional transfer requests a week before the class starts will be charged a $25/fee.
- There are no transfers seven days or fewer before the original class start date.
- There are no transfers after a class has begun.
