Course Description

This 5-hour weekly class explores the direct, expressive approach of alla prima painting—working wet into wet to complete a still life painting in a single session.

Students will learn how to simplify what they see from life and translate it onto the canvas with clarity and confidence. Instruction will focus on composing strong setups, mixing color accurately, and making bold, intentional choices to convey structure, form, and the effect of light.

Each session includes demonstrations and one-on-one critiques. Open to all skill levels.
