(B. 1981) Anthony creates romantically inspired narratives upon a scaffolding of ancient architecture, richly imbued with symbolism and mystery. His subjects include classic themes of time and religion and a particular interest in the Mithraic Mysteries. Originally from the Midwest, Anthony cultivated his appreciation for the past while an apprentice at BLDG 51 Museum in Chicago. He later moved to New York to study painting at the Grand Central Academy where he received many accolades including several ARC Scholarships and the 2015 Alma Schapiro Prize. He currently resides in Brooklyn.

Anthony teaches painting and perspective in GCA’s Core Program.
