Sandra Sanchez (b. 1995 in Los Angeles) is currently a Resident Artist at the Grand Central Atelier in NYC. Having frequently visited The Getty Museum as a child, she was inspired and compelled to learn how to paint in a manner as technical and emotional as the Old Masters. Upon graduating high school, Sandra enrolled and subsequently completed the core program at the Grand Central Atelier. She supplemented her education with evening and weekend classes throughout her 4 years of study. Sandra was the recipient of a Morris and Alma Schapiro Fund Scholarship at GCA, a winner of Colleen Barry’s Structure Prix and is a two-time Hudson River Fellow.

Sandra teaches painting in GCA’s Core Program.
