Sandra Sanchez

Sandra Sanchez (b. 1995, Los Angeles) is based in Southern California. Having frequently visited The Getty Museum as a child, she was inspired and compelled to learn how to paint in a manner as technical and emotional as the Old Masters. Upon graduating high school, Sandra enrolled and subsequently completed the core program at the Grand Central Atelier in 2017. She supplemented her education with evening and weekend classes throughout her 4 years of study.

Sandra is a recipient of the Anders Larson-Toich Fund Scholarship, the Alma Schapiro Fund Scholarship, and the Neil Patterson Award of Excellence. She is a two-time Hudson River Fellow. Sandra continues to evolve as an artist, consistently breathing life and energy into her art, ensuring the spirit of her subjects resonates in every stroke.

Sandra is the cofounder of the Peru Academy of Art in Barranco, Lima, Peru and is a member of the Trekell Pro Team.

Prior to moving back to California, Sandra taught in GCA’s core program. She continues to teach painting in GCA’s Online Program.
