Course Description
In this focused 5-day workshop, students will immerse themselves in the art of still life painting
with an emphasis on minimalism, inspired by masters such as Giorgio Morandi, Wayne
Thiebaud, and Euan Uglow. Through a series of small, thoughtful studies, participants will
explore key concepts of design and composition, while honing their skills in accurate drawing,
modeling light on form, and color theory.
Each student will gain a deeper understanding of the still life genre, learning how to transform
simple objects into compelling, visually striking compositions. The course will be tailored to
individual needs, with ample one-on-one guidance, personalized critiques, and opportunities for
each student to refine their technique and achieve a high level of execution.
Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your painting practice, this workshop will provide
the tools and techniques necessary to elevate your still life work to the next level.
