Patrick Neilson is a contemporary realist draughtsman and painter. He earned his Bachelor of Science from East Carolina University in 2007 and his Master of Fine Arts degree from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 2013. He taught and exhibited his figurative work throughout the Philadelphia region prior to furthering his academic studies at the Grand Central Atelier in 2022. Patrick has taught in the GCA part-time program since 2025.

He is the recipient of awards from the Portrait Society of America, the PAFA Fellowship, the Hudson River Fellowship and was a teaching fellow at the Grand Central Atelier from 2025-26.
